Stella Daisy Correll (23 December 1888 – 7 September 2000) was an Australian supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Correll was born on 23 December 1888 in Port Vincent, South Australia, Australia, as the third child of Robert and Margaret Smith (née Cowley) Correll. Her two older siblings were Robert Harold and Margaret Jessie. She never married nor had children. Her father and mother died aged 69 and 93 respectively.
Correll died on 7 September 2000 in Leabrook, South Australia, Australia, at the age of 111 years, 259 days. She was the fourth-oldest person in Australia at the time of her death, after Christina Cock, Beatrice Mears, and Molly Yeomans, and was the second-oldest from the state of South Australia, after Mears. Her age was verified posthumously by John McCormack.
