Suzana Correa Conceicao Silva [Portuguese: Conceição Silva] (23 April 1905 – 9 May 2016) was a Portuguese supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2023. At the time of death, she was the second-oldest known living person in Portugal after Maria da Conceicao (1904 – 2017).

Biography[]

Suzana was born on 23 April 1905 in Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal to Antonio Thomaz Conceicao Silva (1869-1958) and Laura Correa. Her father was a naturalist painter, and he also worked in ceramics and as an art teacher. Thomaz Conceicao Silva was one of the founders of the National Society of Fine Arts in 1901.

Suzana studied piano. At age 111 she lived in the house her father had rented in Lisbon, and no longer played the piano at that age but still mantained a good relationship with her daughter.

Suzana Correa Conceicao Silva died in Lisbon, Lisbon district, Portugal on 9 May 2016, aged 111 years, 16 days.
