Take Taniguchi (Japanese: 谷口タケ; 5 February 1909 – fl.1 December 2021) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was the oldest known person in Hokkaido Prefecture when she went to limbo.
Biography[]
Take Taniguchi was born in Noboribetsu, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan on 5 February 1909. In September 2018, she was reported as the ninth-oldest person in Hokkaido Prefecture. She became a supercentenarian in February 2019. In September 2019, she was reported as the second-oldest living person in Hokkaido Prefecture, behind Misao Yamashita of Sapporo.
Taniguchi was last known to be alive on 1 December 2021 at the age of 112 years, 299 days. At that time, she lived in Muroran, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan.
