Tanase P. Tanase (Romanian: Tǎnase Tǎnase; 15 October 1894? – September 2009) was a Greek-born Romanian supercentenarian claimant.
Biography[]
Tanase Tanase claimed that he was born in Negrita, Greece on 15 October 1894.[1] He emigrated to Bulgaria at the age of 38 and lived 8 years in Quadrilater, Durostor until at the age of 46 he moved to Stejaru, Romania.
Tanase Tanase died in Stejaru, Tulcea, Romania on September 2009 at the claimed age of 114 years, 321-350 days.[2] At the time of his death he was believed to be the oldest living man in Romania, but later his age was debunked by the Romanian government.
