Teresa Velazquez Andres (Spanish: Velázquez Andrés; 13 July 1909 – 8 November 2020) was a Spanish supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2020. At time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in Valencian Community and the fourth-oldest known living person in Spain.
Biography[]
Velazquez Andres was born in Segorbe, Valencia, Spain, on 13 July 1909. Allegedly, her great-uncle was Julio Cervera Baviera, a Spanish engineer and pioneer in the development of radio.
At the age of 107, she was still healthy and lucid, and was able to walk through a city. She celebrated her 110th birthday in July 2019.
Velazquez Andres died in Segorbe, Valencia, Spain on 8 November 2020 at the age of 111 years, 118 days.
