Thomas Katsanos [Greek; Θωμάς Κατσάνος] (21 February 1914 – 25 September 2021) was a Greek centenarian who was the oldest known living man in Greece at the time of his death.
Biography[]
Thomas Katsanos was born in Thessaly Prefecture, Greece on 21 February 1914. During the world war II, he was on the Albanian front and fought in many more battles. In September 2021, he had four children, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He became the oldest known living man in Greece, following the death of 108-year-old Stelios Fragiadoulakis on 15 March 2021.
Katsanos died in Metropolis, Thessaly Region, Greece on 25 September 2021, at the age of 107 yeaes, 216 days. Following his death, then 106-year-old Georgios Koliopoulos became the oldest known living man in Greece.
