Tomas Oadan

Tomas Oadan (1874/1875 – 1979/1980) was a Filipino centenarian who was the second oldest living man in the province of Negros Occidental at the time of his death, behind 106-year-old Timoteo Alejandrino.

Biography[]

Tomas Oadan was born in Roxas City, Capiz Province, Philippines, on c. 1874/1875. He later moved to Majanlud, Sapi-an, Capiz Province, Philippines.

He worked as a Albularyo healing those who were possessed or cursed, he owned an anting-anting to ward of evil spirits, and specialised in using herbs to heal people. He married Ana Justiniano and had 10 children: Leonarda Oadan, Perla Oadan, Monchita Oadan, Leonardo Oadan, Montserrat Oadan, Lucena Oadan, Paciano Oadan, Marcelina Oadan, Vicente Oadan, and Felipe Oadan, two of which are still alive.

His long life is attributed due to his faith in God and his diet which primarily consists of vegetables.

He died in his household in Majanlud, Sapi-an, Capiz Province, Philippines, on c.1979/1980 at the age of 105 years, 0+ days.
