Tsukiyo Tsuru [Japanese: 靏ツキヨ] (28 January 1909 – 17 March 2021) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Tsuru was born in Japan on 28 January 1909.
At the age of 108, she fell and broke her femur, and underwent a surgery. After recovering, she was able to walk again. In September 2020, she was reported as the third-oldest living person in Fukuoka Prefecture, after Kane Tanaka and Yoshi Otsunari. On her 112th birthday, she celebrated with her favorite sushi at the nursing home.
She died in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka, Japan, on 17 March 2021, at the age of 112 years, 48 days.
