Tsurue Furuno (Japanese: 古野ツルエ; 25 August 1907 – 8 July 2019) was a Japanese supercentenarian who is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Tsurue Furuno was born in Japan on 25 August 1907. She became the oldest living person in Kumamoto Prefecture upon the death of a 111-year-old woman on 21 January 2018.
Furuno died in Amakusa, Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan on 8 July 2019 at the age of 111 years, 317 days. Upon her death, Chie Ogata became the oldest living person in Kumamoto Prefecture.
