Umeyo Konishi [Japanese: 小西ウメヨ] (18 February 1906 – July 2017) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Umeyo Konishi was born in Hikari, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan on 18 February 1906. She had at least one son (aged 88 in 2016).
Following the death of 112-year-old Yasuno Kawamoto of Sanyo-Onoda on 29 September 2015, Konishi became the oldest known living person in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
In February 2016, Konishi celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
Umeyo Konishi died in Hikari, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan in July 2017 at the age of 111 years, 133-163 days.
