Una Kydd (26 September 1910 – 8 December 2020) was a Vincentian-born Canadian supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Kydd was born in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on 26 September 1910 to Timothy and Millicent (née Bynoe) Kydd. She married twice, firstly to Simeon Matthews, with whom she had six children: Godfrey (born 1935), Cyril, Vena, Vilma, Winnifred, and Audrey. Her second marriage was to Albert Deshong, with whom she had four children: Adina (born 1947), Timothy (born 1949), Margaret (born 1951), and Ann (born 1953).

Kydd became a supercentenarian in September 2020. She died in LaSalle, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on 8 December 2020 at the age of 110 years, 73 days. She was survived by six family generations including several of her children, her sisters, Alvit and Winifred, and many other descendants.
