Veronica Forstner (née Boettger; 3 May 1905 – 29 September 2015) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was the oldest known living person in the state of Minnesota at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Veronica Forstner was born in Sigel Township, Brown County, Minnesota, USA on 3 May 1905. Her parents were Henry Boettger and Caroline (née Tauer) Boettger.
She married Frank Forstner on 1 February 1926 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, Minnesota. They farmed in Sigel Township, Brown County. She loved to garden, read, travel, and watch the Minnesota Twins. She was widowed in 1975.
Veronica Forstner died in New Ulm, Minnesota on 29 September 2015 at the age of 110 years, 149 days. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Luverne Fischer, Connie and Charles Reichensperger; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny and Donna Forstner, Myron Forstner, Rollie and Arlis Forstner, Evelyn Forstner; thirty nine grandchildren; seventy great grandchildren; thirty five great-great grandchildren.
