Vince Horvath [Hungarian: Horváth Vince] (6 December 1915 – 30 June 2021) was an American-born Hungarian centenarian who the second-oldest known living man in Hungary (behind Bela Csendes) at the time of his death.
Biography[]
Vince Horvath was born in Dillonvale, Ohio, USA on 6 December 1915 to Hungarian immigrants. Around 1921, his parents were deported and returned to home with their eight children.
He worked as a registrar, a factory worker and a caretaker. After the deportation of the Germans, he moved to Harka, where he was chairman of the council.
He married Ilona Varga (born 1925) and had two daughters: Iren and Ilona. He got widowed in 2004.
As of November 2015, he had four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Horvath died in Sopron, Gyor-Moson-Sopron County, Hungary on 30 June 2021 at the age of 105 years, 206 days.
