Violet Cave (28 February 1909 – 3 March 2020) was a Barbadian-born American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Violet Cave was born in British West Indies (Barbados) on 28 February 1909. Cave spent most of her young adult life in Panama working for the U.S. government on the Panama Canal. She then arrived in the U.S. one year after the Civil Rights Act was passed.
Cave died in Harlem neighbourhood, New York City, New York, USA on 3 March 2020 at the age of 111 years, 4 days.
