Vivian Baron (née Poteete; 28 January 1908 – 1 July 2018) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography
Baron was born in Crainville, Illinois, USA, on 28 January 1908. She was one of four children born to Albert and Molly Greenrod Poteete. She worked as a nurse at Kankakee State Hospital and Manteno State Hospital. She married Mose Baron on 24 October 1931 and they were married until his death on 7 December 1993. The couple had one child, Ronald.
Baron died in Kankakee, Illinois, on 1 July 2018 at the age of 110 years, 154 days. At the time of her death, she had three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
