Vlastimila Ceskova [Czech: Vlastimila Češková] (2 March 1905 – 7 January 2015) was a Czech centenarian who was the oldest person in the Czech Republic at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Vlastimila Ceskova was born in Mikulůvka, Zlín Region, Austria-Hungary (now Czech Republic) on 2 March 1905. She came from a teacher's family. Her father founded the school in the village. She taught in Valašské Meziříčí, Hošťálková, but also in Růžďka. When she stopped teaching, she worked herself in the mill. She liked to watch TV and read.
She became the oldest living person in the Czech Republic, following the death of 109-year-old Evangelia Carasova on 22 November 2013.
Vlastimila Ceskova died in Jarcová, Vsetín District, Zlín Region, Czech Republic on 7 January 2015 at the age of 109 years, 311 days, less than two months shy of her 110th birthday.
