Waldramina Maclovia Quinteros Reyes (16 October 1915 – 2 June 2023) was an Ecuadorian centenarian who, along with her husband Julio, were recognized by Guinness World Records as the Oldest Married Couple until Julio’s death on 22 October 2020.
Biography[]
Waldramina Maclovia Quinteros Reyes was born in Ecuador on 16 October 1915.
She met Julio Cesar Mora Tapia (10 March 1910 – 22 October 2020) during her school vacation period, when she went to visit her sister, who's husband was Julio's cousin. They married on 7 February 1941 in the oldest church in Quito, La Iglesia de El Belen. They had five children (including Aura Cecilia). Their first son died at the age of 58.
In October 2018, four of their children were still alive.
In August 2020, her age was officially validated by Guinness World Records, and alongside her husband, she received the title of the oldest married couple, with an aggregate age of 214 years, 358 days. At that time, they had 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Julio Cesar died on 22 October 2020 at the age of 110 years, 226 days.
Waldramina Maclovia Quinteros Reyes died in in Quito, Ecuador on 2 June 2023 at the age of 107 years, 229 days.
