Wilhelmina Frederica Pier (née Miller; 6 October 1881 – 12 June 1994) was an American supercentenarian. She was the oldest known person in the US state of Indiana at the time of her death. Her age was validated (posthumously) by Gerontology Research Group on 22 January 2019.
Biography[]
Wilhelmina Pier was born as Wilhelmina Frederica Miller in New Carlisle, St. Joseph County, Indiana on 6 October 1881. It was claimed that she was born in 1880. Her parents were Frederick M. Miller and Amelia (née Goolbeck) Miller. Her parents immigrated from Germany, and her father started a farm and a saw mill. She married Harvey E. Pier on 30 September 1908. Her husband died in 1957.
Wilhelmina Pier died in South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana on 12 June 1994 at the age of 112 years, 249 days.
