Wladyslaw Fidos (Polish: Władysław Fidos; 5 October 1915–26 July 2024) was a Polish centenarian who was the oldest known living man in Poland at the time of his death.
Biography[]
Wladyslaw Fidos was born in Rudno Germany (now Rudno, Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poland) on 6 October 1915. After the world war II, he moved to Masuria, Warmian–Masurian Voivodeship, and then to Katy, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, where he ran a farm with his wife Irena until 1972. Then he settled in Murowana Goślina, Greater Poland Voivodeship, where he has been lived with his family for nearly half a century. At the age of 105, he had 2 daughters, 1 son, as well as 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
On 17 July 2023, following the death of 109-year-old Stanislaw Pelka, he became the oldest known living man in Poland.
Wladyslaw Fidos died in Murowana Goślina, Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poland on 26 July 2024 at the age 108 years, 295 days.
