Yao Fengzhen [Chinese: 姚凤珍] (born December 1911) is a Chinese supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Yao Fengzhen was allegedly born in December 1911 by solar calendar in Qing dynasty (China).
In October 2021, Yao was reported as the oldest living person in Qibao, Minhang District. At the time, she was reported to be in good physical shape, and to have good eyesight and hearing. When interviewed by the journalist, she was singing: "The Communist Party is good!" (a part of the lyrics of the song Socialism is Good). She was living with her younger sister, who said about the secret of her longevity: "She has a very good mentality!"
In October 2022, Yao was reported as the third-oldest living woman in Shanghai, after Wu Zhicheng and Ni Xiuying.
Yao Fengzhen currently lives in Hanghuasicun, Qibao, Minhang District, Shanghai, China, at the age of at least 112 years, 344 days.
