Yasu Nishiyama (jap. 西山ヤス) (20 August 1894 - 31 October 2006) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Yasu Nishiyama was born in Tadotsu, Kagawa, Japan on 20 August 1894. On 20 August 2004, Nishiyama celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian. She became the oldest living person in Kagawa Prefecture with the death of Haru Mori on 16 April 2006.
Yasu Nishiyama died in Takamatsu, Kagawa, Japan on 31 October 2006 at the age of 112 years, 72 days. At the time of her death, Nishiyama was the oldest living person in Kagawa, Japan and one of the oldest living people in Japan. She is currently the oldest person ever from Kagawa Prefecture, Japan.
