Zenson Nakahodo (Japanese: 仲程善樽; 8 May 1908 – 7 March 2019) was a Japanese-born Peruvian supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Zenson was born on 8 May 1908 in Gushikawa, Uruma, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. In 1930, he moved to Peru. He worked at the La Huaca farm in Huaral, where he managed to get his own farm, but it was taken away as a result of the war. Later, he moved to Santa Maria de Huachipa, Lima. He owned two hectares of land in Huachipa and La Capitana. He had 10 children (one deceased as of 2016).

Even at the age of 108, he was able to take care of his garden, where he produced kaki. His wife, Mine, died on c. 2011, aged 104. In 2016, he had 33 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. His eldest daughter, Rosa Yoshiko, was still alive at that time, aged 85.

Nakahodo died in Lima, Peru on 7 March 2019 at the age of 110 years, 303 days.
