Zhang Mingzhu [Chinese: 张明珠] (22 June 1905 – fl.10 October 2017) was a Chinese supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Zhang Mingzhu claimed to have been born in Shanghai, Qing dynasty (China) on 22 June 1905. Later, she moved with her husband in Beijing. At the age of 72, she underwent an appendecectomy. At the age of 88, she had intestine cancer, and underwent 3 operations.

In 2011, aged 106, Zhang participated to an emission of Beijing Life Channel. She stood without assistance on the scene, and had a young skin. She said: "Eat good, sleep enough, sunbathe and do exercise."

Zhang used to walk every day, to wake up naturally, to eat a bit of everything (she liked braised pork). She also liked to smarten her up; she used to put powder and fat on her skin. She liked clothes with warm colours.

Zhang was last confirmed alive in Beijing, China on 10 October 2017, at the age of 112 years, 110 years.
