Zoe Verot [French: Zoé Vérot] (née Verot [French: Vérot]; 15 February 1884 – 4 January 1996) was a French supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of her death, she was the second-oldest living person in France, after Jeanne Calment.
Biography[]
Zoe Verot was born in Michery, Yonne, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France on 15 February 1884. Her parents were Emile Verot (1859–1940) and Claire Zoe Marlot (1860–1919).
On 7 June 1905, she married Jules Verot (1879–?) in Michery.
Zoe Verot died in Pont-sur-Yonne, Yonne, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France on 4 January 1996, at the age of 111 years, 323 days. Her age was verified by Jean-Marie Robine and Laurent Toussaint, and validated by the GRG on 31 January 2004.
